The future of our world is largely based on our capacity to
learn to live together. Each culture has influenced the history, the human
achievements and the route to our present day society. Everything that we do
and are has been influenced and shaped by the interplay of cultures. What our
future looks like will depend, to a crucial extent, on how cultures live and deal with one another. We are part of one
world- a world for which we are jointly responsible. With this project we would like to take
action and preserve our rich cultural legacy, our identities, our traditions,
whilst respecting the customs and lifestyle of others in a climate of mutual
respect and appreciation. We would like to exchange knowledge and to campaign
for understanding, respect and tolerance between cultures. As young people grow
in this new, different and exciting global environment, they have to be
equipped for it.. We believe that
promoting awareness, tolerance and respect between people from different
cultural, religious and linguistic backgrounds is more important now than ever.
These are the fundamental qualities that make truly global citizens and our
world needs more of them. The project focus on four pillars: 1.Learning to know: "I , you and we"
"I"- Learning more about ourselves, our ancestors, our traditions, customs and deep cultural roots;
"You"- Learning about
our peers from the partner country;
"We"- Learning
about what we have in common, respecting our differences;
pillar2. Learning
to do: acquiring skills and competencies.
Pillar3.Learning to be: open and respectful. Intercultural
dialogue calls for attitudes conducive to critical thinking, respect and
tolerance. Open to accept various values.
Pillar4. Learning to
live together for a peaceful, prosperous and harmonious world;
